Away Luggage: The Perfect Carry-On | 4 Reasons It's Your Ideal Luggage

While I was last in LA, I stopped by Away to pickup a suitcase (because I traveled there with just a duffle bag, why?). I actually had no idea that there was brick-and-mortar store; I assumed that Away was just an online shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it did in fact exist and was only eight minutes away from where I was staying. The sales associate was so friendly and helpful in explaining each of the suitcases that were available and why I might go with one over the other. He also was very clear about the guaranteed warranty and other availabilities like the beautiful, personalized luggage tag that was made in house, which I also thought was cool. I went with the expandable carry on in black because I wanted to keep it simple and chic but with a few upgrades that your average suitcase may not have. Here’s what I love about it in particular.

It locks with a personal passcode.

This way if it were to get lost or if someone were to try to go through it, they wouldn’t be able to access what’s inside.

It expands to fit everything I need.

To this day, I have never checked a bag because I’m always able to fit everything into a carry-on. The expandable feature makes that possible.

It has a front pocket for things I need to quickly access.

I always need my phone charger, wallet and some other small things in the airport and this front pocket is the perfect place for those things because I can get to them without having to pull everything else out of my suitcase.

It comes with a water resistant laundry bag.

Typically I travel with a couple extra Target bags for my washcloths or wet clothes, but this is a better, more environment-friendly option.
