A Walk In Montego Bay, Jamaica

Some vacations are for activity and adventure and others are for rest and relaxation. This trip to Jamaica was the latter and I think it sort of goes without saying that Jamaica is an overall breathtaking country.

This was one of my shorter trips at just three days, but once I arrived I instantly felt that I should have booked for a longer stay.

My experience with the food, the gorgeous beach sunrises and sunsets, and my trip to Martha Brae for rafting gave me just a small taste of what I know is available to explore whenever I go back.

When I travel, I learn.

The colors of the Jamaican flag are representative of hope and vegetation (green), wealth and sunlight (gold), and the strength and creativity of the people (black). Throughout this post, you can see so much of the green in the vegetation that I was really drawn to during my stay.

Unsurprisingly, I also spent a good amount of time by the water where I experienced peace and calm like no other. Occasionally, a pelican might land in front of me to fish or a security guard might pass by and ask if I was okay, but mostly I was alone with the rippling water and my thoughts and I quite like that kind of solitude.
